Matt Ross shows off the new Bottle-in-a-Bib pattern at the Long Beach Convention Center. Of course, the pattern is sized for kids from 1 to 3 years, but Lee made one just for him!

Dear Patti,

Thanks for a tote bag pattern with instructions that are clear and easy to follow. I completed this tote bag in less than a day, and I am very pleased with it.
I appliqued anembroidered sunflower to the pocket to go with the sunflower fabric I used for the body of the bag.

Thanks so much for saving me with emailed pattern. Here are my pics. This is only the 2nd time making this wallet. It was the for the same friend. Over the last 15+ years she has worn out 2 and this is her 3rd. I plan to make my own next. Just trying to settle on a fabric.

Hello,
First I’d like to say how much I love this pattern, I have made several as children’s gifts and they are always so well received. This is an apron I made recently for a 3 year old girl.

I finished the wallet we worked on yesterday. Using my Viking made things so much smoother.

I live in northeast Washington in a little town called Addy, about an hour north of Spokane. It is very rural so I do some shopping online and happened to find this pattern from henriettashandbags.com. I have been sewing for many years and enjoy small projects such as this that take some sewing expertise and are a bit of a challenge. I am looking forward to making another purse soon. My husband and I are retired and have 3 dogs and 3 cats. All the cats and 2 of the dogs are "rescued" animals.
Thank you, Rita

Woodie Dorsey took our very first Quilter's Wallet class in 2002 and has not stopped making them. She is one of our proof readers and also our sample maker.

Woodie adapted the Petite Wallet for her son who is a Raiders fan. Instead of the flap, she cut off the pattern at the end of the cash pocket and inserted a flap with a snap.

These photos are from Linda Stitt who purchased the Quilter's Wallet Pattern from The Bernina Connection while at Quilting in the Desert this January.
She adapted the pattern to fit her needs.
Great Job Linda!

Hello Lee,

I love this pattern. I made myself a Weekender bag that matched the bigger bag I made from some material I bought
while in Hawaii! I've made several bags. I'm not a designer but I'm striving to be. I've used patterns for the ones I've made so far but have changed them a bit so I can call them mine. I like to use vintage buttons on those that have buttons. I've sold a few bags to friends but the business is not hopping yet.

Thanks for the tip on the scrappy bag. I'm about to make one for my sweet daughter-in-law and wanted to get it right this time! :-)

I am an avid sewer. I have won various competitions. I have placed quilt blocks in Wal-Mart's contest for Children's Miracle Network, which have won top
honors and were placed in the national quilt for 3 years in a row. These fabrics (I am using in my wallets) are some of my awards from the sponsoring companies.
Just a note about me.

Again thank you very much

Hi Lee,

Thank you for your help.

Here are pictures of the completed wallet.

I chose to use a snap closure rather than velcro.

These are two felted wallets made using the Quilter's Wallet Pattern.  They were made by Kaye Bennett, who shops at Westerville Sew n Save in Westerville, Ohio.
Susan Hart, owner of Westerville Sew n Save was kind enough to send us the actual wallets, which are stunning to say the least.
Thank you Susan!

Here are a few samples of the wallets that were made during the Upcountry Quilter's Guild Retreat at Table Rock in South Carolina. We all want to say
THANKS to Carol who was helping us each along the way. We all had fun working on this wallet!

I finished my Go & Sew last evening, after spending the day sewing and baking cookies with my granddaughters and running to town to buy a 30 inch robe zipper.

I had absolutely no problems with your instructions.  Each step was explained well and I felt was easy to understand and follow.  I think the final step of installing the big zipper was probably the most challenging, especially around the corners.

As you can see from the pictures, I did not use vinyl--because I didn't have any when I decided to begin.  I had precut all my vinyl into little 2 3/4 inch x 4 inch pieces for the wallets.  Since I had various colors of pet screen in my stash, I decided to give that a try and I felt that it worked well.

Pink Wallet

Dear Lee,

Back in early April I was having a devil of a time with the cosmetics bags and you were kind enough to e-mail me some photos to help me with the zippers. Here is the results of my efforts. I made two bags for a friend for her birthday. She is going to England in June and I thought they might come in handy. One is the Weekender and one the purse size.

Thanks again for your special help.

Cosmetic Bag

Got Pockets? Got Pockets I enjoyed making this bag very much. [Shown at left.] It was smaller than I expected (I thought it would be more tote-sized rather than purse-sized.) I hope to make it again now that I've tried it once, to see where I could add my own embellishments. I bought this pattern at Mt. Pleasant Quilt Shop.

Thank you,

Linda Curry,

Petite Wallet
Hi Lee,

Here is my "bright" Quilter's Petite Wallet that I did today. I did change the rounded corners to SQUARE ones, because I discovered that the bottom credit card slot was affected and the card itself would not fit properly in that round corner. (the straight grain binding was easier to do, but the front corners might roll a bit… I won't know until I use it, but I liked not having to cut bias strips and leaving all that diagonal waste (I did not do the matching checkbook). I'm thinking about making my "logs" 1-3/4" wide so that when I cut them I can use the left over for the inside bindings and maybe save on some fabric. I also decided it was easier for me to place and fuse all the interfacing and do the folding/pressing all at the SAME time...

Thanks again,

Cheri
